Daisy Roberta Myers Toliver, 72, of Lovingston, departed this life on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the University of Virginia hospital. Born in Albemarle, August 3, 1953, she was a daughter of the late John W. Myers and Susie Emma Thompson Myers.

Daisy had been a Personal Care Aide for Johnson Senior Center in Amherst, as well as a caregiver to many others. She was an active member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, as well as in her community. Daisy had a strong desire for helping others and opened her home many times to those in need. She believed in the power of prayer and prayed often. Daisy most enjoyed her grandchildren and the time she got to spend with family. She will be greatly missed by many.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Thurman Bernard Toliver “Stank” (Marion), Robert Lea Toliver Sr. “Boo” (Debbie), and Harold Eugene Toliver “Charlie”; sisters, Nancy Jane Myers McClendon, Elaine Carrie Myers Braxton “Boon”, Vivian Devern Myers Diggs, and Shirley Mae Myers “Weasel”; grandchildren, Robert Lee Toliver Jr. “Poody”, Antwon Demetrie Lee Toliver, Tearria Lashae Toliver, Jacoby Lesean Toliver “Coby”, Brianna Renee Hill, and Darius James Hill; great-grandchildren, Kaedon Lesean Wilson, and Maliyah Alahna Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thurman Bernard Toliver Sr.; brothers, William Jerome Myers “Billy Boy”, and Robert Louis Myers “Butt”, and sisters, Slinda Maude Thompson Loving “Linda”, Patricia Diane Myers Essex “Tricia”, and Queen Victoria Myers "Queenie".

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Oak Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Hendricks with burial to follow in Oak Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home.
