Richard Dana Seraphin

Richard Dana Seraphin “Rick”, 69, of Shipman, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born in Hartford, CT, November 9, 1956, he was a son of the late Robert Oliver and Lena Ambrogio Seraphin.

Rick had been a self-employed painting contractor for many years, and was also a United States Navy Veteran, having served from 1975 to 1979. He was an avid reader and loved to cook and tell stories. In his earlier years, he also enjoyed skiing.

He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Seraphin (Merrill) of Stamford, CT, and Tyler Seraphin of Florida; his brothers, Robert Seraphin (Judy), and Steven Seraphin (Judy), both of Arrington; a sister, Nancy Seraphin (Barry) of Utah, and a granddaughter, Parker Seraphin. Included in his loving family are cousins, nephews and a niece, as well as their children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Maietta.

Memorial gatherings will be scheduled at a future date.
